I have a two host cluster with 4 VMs. Hosts are 2008 R2, guests are 2x Windows 2x Linux.
Last week one of my Windows servers would not live migrate, but the other 3 would.
After troubleshooting, I rebuilt the VM. (new VM, moved VHD). Then it started moving. Great!
Now, today, two of the VMs will not move with the exact same set of errors.
On the source machine:
'Virtual Machine <machine>' live migration did not succeed at the source.
On the target:
Cluster resource 'Virtual Machine Configuration '<machine>' in clustered service or application '<machine>' failed.
'Virtual Machine Configuration <machine>' failed to register the virtual machine with the virtual machine management service.
The Cluster service failed to bring clustered service or application '<machine>' completely online or offline. One or more resources may be in a failed state. This may impact the availability of the clustered service or application.
I'd appreciate any help in getting this resolved.
